Login Information:

  • User name: firstname.lastname followed by the last 3 digits of your tech id. Password: Your birthdate in the following format: YYMMDD or the last six digits of your Tech ID. (Example: John Smith, Tech ID 01010101 user name would be john.smith101 or john.smith101@students.mr.mnscu.edu))

How to Log In On A Campus Computer:

Campus Lab Login:

Enter your student ID as the user name and enter Mesabi as the password. A second window will pop up, please select OK. You will be prompted to change your password after your initial login.

Your Novell account is used for access to the MRCTC network. All Mesabi Range students, faculty, and staff, have access to network storage. Faculty and staff use this account to log into their office computers. Every faculty and staff member has his/her own personal space on the files servers.  It is called the I:\ Drive.  The I:\ Drive and other shared drives, can be accessed from the computer at your desk, any computer on campus and off of our website, using NetStorage. If you need assistance logging on using your Novell Network Account, please contact our 218-780-8063. 

Accessing your files from home using NetStorage:

All files stored on your I: Drive can be accessed from any computer through a web browser.  NetStorage  http://files.mr.mnscu.edu/NetStorage/

Campus ID's: Please stop in and visit the Virginia Campus Library to have pick up your campus ID.

  • Atomic Learning: Mesabi Range Community and Technical College has chosen Atomic Learning as an online software training resource for faculty, staff and students! Atomic Learning provides training on over 110 of the most commonly used applications.
    • To begin using Atomic Learning, please follow these steps:
      1. Go to www.AtomicLearning.com/highed.
      2. Log in using the following information: (Contact Dan in the Mezz Lab for Log in information 218-780-8063.)
      a. Username: xxxxxx
      b. Password: xxxxxx
      3. Click on the Training Library and select All Collections and select from the list of training options and log in.
